A wise man once said, and I will try to be as verbatim as possible. When man lie together in lust it is a surrender to the passions and does nothing for the excellence in us. But when man lie together and knowledge and virtue is pass between them. That is pure and excellent. When they compete to bring out the good, and the best in each other. This is the kind of love that can build a city state.
Since Desire is a similar sentiment as lust and lies within the excess, lacking rational and moderation

That of Happiness
Happiness seems to be the most sought after feeling in both past and present times. It's probably the most desired feeling in existence but yet its of the nature of a sly pussy that seems to eludes its occupants whenever it sees fit. Only money can make me happy, i want to be happy in love, he makes me happy, she makes me happy, that, it, they, blah blah blah makes me happy. These are just some of the common mantra of happiness. But what is Happiness really, is it something that can be touch, hold, is it tangible or is it just a mental fiction that serves only to excite the senses and does nothing for the rational.
Just as love, the definition of happiness varies and serves to be relative and contingent; that is depending on one's own perception. Hence different perception exist given X number of individuals. But why is happiness treated as an ultimate end of itself, as in the end of a journey and not the journey itself. Within finding the answer to these question lies the fundamental structure of what is happiness but not it's definition.
Happiness as an ultimate END, inevitably leads to that END changing its reference point and as a result the pursuit of happiness begins resulting in some cases misery or new found happiness. Take for Ex: the happiness found in a million dollars; once its utility is expended it serves no longer as being the END, but rather a fleeting sentimental perception of the END. In this case the reference point changes taking the individual out of the state of happiness and into misery or the pursuit of a new state of happiness.
In regards to Happiness being a journey .... to be continue

That Of Love
Within lifes uncertainties the hope or belief of the existence of love is the impetus behind the movement against the grade or wind. Love is indeed an intense feeling similar to lust or hunger, resulting in an intense need for something or someone. But what is unique about man is the rational, which when acting in conjunction with the heart/soul/conscience helps us to decifer what love really is; depending on our own unique experiences.
Love is a variable that changes given favorable and unfavorable circumstances, resulting in one falling along love's spectrum bounded by hate and insanity. with hatred being its very opposite it stands fruitless to be discuss.
Insanity on the other hand proves to be abstruse but yet prolific and demands further attention. It should not be consider in its regular context, but rather having the utmost love; hence the term crazy inlove.
As pertaining to insanity in its regard to love, one must understand why it is refered to as insane when it is such a beautiful feeling. The insanity lies in the connection shared which evokes a variety of emotions directly concerning the other party. Hence mutual feelings are shared between two are more individuals forming a union of the soul. But before the souls are paired there must first be a union of the individual's being. Thier soul, mind and heart must be in perfect accord to manifest a love on the spiritual level.
Then and only then can one experience true love; one that transcends beyond the demarcations set by the scars of our origin. If asked what is love, the respondents answer would varies. but what seems to be an unrecognised and sometimes conflicting issue is that love is sometimes not the deliverer's definition but rather the reciever's perception.
