That of Happiness

Happiness seems to be the most sought after feeling in both past and present times. It's probably the most desired feeling in existence but yet its of the nature of a sly pussy that seems to eludes its occupants whenever it sees fit. Only money can make me happy, i want to be happy in love, he makes me happy, she makes me happy, that, it, they, blah blah blah makes me happy. These are just some of the common mantra of happiness. But what is Happiness really, is it something that can be touch, hold, is it tangible or is it just a mental fiction that serves only to excite the senses and does nothing for the rational.

Just as love, the definition of happiness varies and serves to be relative and contingent; that is depending on one's own perception. Hence different perception exist given X number of individuals. But why is happiness treated as an ultimate end of itself, as in the end of a journey and not the journey itself. Within finding the answer to these question lies the fundamental structure of what is happiness but not it's definition.

Happiness as an ultimate END, inevitably leads to that END changing its reference point and as a result the pursuit of happiness begins resulting in some cases misery or new found happiness. Take for Ex: the happiness found in a million dollars; once its utility is expended it serves no longer as being the END, but rather a fleeting sentimental perception of the END. In this case the reference point changes taking the individual out of the state of happiness and into misery or the pursuit of a new state of happiness.

How much happiness do you want and what are you willing let go of to embrace it is the question?

The adverage person has a fear of happiness although they speak of it as if it's something far from thier reach. There is an abnormal, excessive, and persistent fear of experiencing joy or pleasure. Sufferers with this most puritanical of phobias typically feel guilty about experiencing pleasure even though they usually realize rationally there is nothing at all wrong with taking pleasure. Their guilt usually arises from the fact that they are participating in a pleasurable activity while others around them or in the world at large are experiencing nothing but illness, grief, economic hardship and other painful problems. Their guilt may also arise from the belief that life is best lived ascetically (similar to the idea that, for a medicine to do good, it must taste bad).

Happiness is the most pleasured feeling as God has made woman the most pleasured desire, but does that really mean that we must take all the credit for mans happiness or unhappiness?

I believe that when man/woman allows God to have his will and stop being a hedonist he will realize his/her happiness in gifts he/she has been given. Let go, and just breath!

Thanks for another great blog from one writer to another! ;)

I found a happiness in my life that I know will only enhance as time clicks by the seconds of awaiting minutes. It stared me in the face at a time of disbelief of acceptance and reality. What a difference this little joy of happiness has impacted on my life. I will secure the moments as the treasures hidden within our African countries filled with jewels envyed to the white man. Lord, I ask thee, do all to protect this bundle of fresh air that I inhale, so that I can not only pursue, but maintain sanity of comfort and warmth loving smiles in my heart. Pursuing is the inevitable as to the acceptance of the now which defines the state of being happy.
