Is it Better to be Loved or Desired?

A wise man once said, and I will try to be as verbatim as possible. When man lie together in lust it is a surrender to the passions and does nothing for the excellence in us. But when man lie together and knowledge and virtue is pass between them. That is pure and excellent. When they compete to bring out the good, and the best in each other. This is the kind of love that can build a city state.

Since Desire is a similar sentiment as lust and lies within the excess, lacking rational and moderation

No one can definitively answer this question. It will be either right or wrong, ethical or unethical, true or false in the eyes of it's readers. It appears to be rhetorical or an authors way of seeking his fulfillment of a missing link to his own misery. Love and Desire are distinctively different in that you cannot question true love but when you desire something or someone it's filled with questions unanswered that cause confusions because of it's lack of reach and this is why most miserable jealous fools desire and never experience true love.

I have a better question. Is it better to know or not know?...

The unique personality which is the real life in me, I can not gain unless I search for the real life, the spiritual quality, in others. I am myself spiritually dead unless I reach out to the fine quality dormant in others.
For it is only with the God enthroned in the innermost shrine of the other, that the God hidden in me, will consent to appear.

The life I touch for good or ill will touch another life, and that in turn another, until who knows where the trembling stops or in what far place my touch will be felt.

Only through our connectedness to others can we really know and enhance the self. And only through working on the self can we begin to enhance our connectedness to others.

Understand that the people in your life are there at your request, motivated by their love for you to play roles that you scripted.

If your not willing to take the bumps on your head from the aging bricks of your home, than you might as well wear a helmet on your heart.
